STEAM

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics and is a global tool used to educate children. Known for its benefits in creating independent and creative thinking, practical and hands on learning, real-world application, and problem solving; STEAM is a fun and effective way to engage children in a wide range of subjects.

Selwyn Libraries loves to help foster education, so we’ve developed a fun and easy programme that can be downloaded from our website every Friday. Each week we’ll provide a three-part project suitable for children ages 5-12 years with a focus of one of STEAM’s components.
