Come along to our candle making workshops, running at both Leeston and Darfield Library. Each session with be hosted by librarian Libby, who will show you how to melt and pour soy into teacups and mix in a blend of delicious smelling essential oils to make your own personalised candles.
Fun facts: Soy burns cleaner and produces as much as 90 percent less soot than paraffin, reducing the amount of indoor air pollution if you’re using them inside. Soy is also a renewable resource, and biodegradable.
We’ll provide everything you need, just bring yourself. You are welcome to bring along a favourite essential oil if you have one you would like to turn into a fragrant candle.
