Selwyn Libraries under Orange

Why do I require a My Vaccine Pass to enter libraries?

The decision to require a My Vaccine Pass to enter our libraries has been made using the Local Government Covid Protection Framework guidance. This required us to assess a number of factors, including the safety of staff, public health risk and maintaining public access to services.

We want people to continue to enjoy our facilities and our in-library experiences, while still protecting the health of staff and the public, which is why a My Vaccine Pass is now required.

What if I have an exemption?

If you are medically exempt from receiving the vaccination, please let staff at the front door know and be prepared to show your medical pass.

Do I still need to wear a mask and sign in?

Yes. Under the Orange Level of the current Traffic Light Protection Framework mask wearing is mandatory for both staff and for visitors 12-years and over, unless you have an exemption. We also ask that you sign in on entry using the app or paper form provided.

Can I return books without a My Vaccine Pass?

Yes. All three libraries have external returns slots where you can drop off your items.

I don't have a My Vaccine Pass, can I use Click and Collect?
