Parking

Te Ara Ātea has a car park accessible off Tennyson Street. It is located behind the sensory space and has room for 74 cars. There is also on-street parking on Tennyson Street.

If you’re travelling by bicycle or scooter, there is dedicated parking between the sensory space and Te Ara Ātea, and three bike racks to the south of the building.

The scooter rack holds up to 10 scooters, while the bike racks can fit 34 bikes.

Public Transport

You can catch the bus to Te Ara Ātea.

  • 85 Rolleston – City: If you’re travelling from Faringdon at the southern end of Rolleston, hop on bus route 85. Likewise, if you’re coming in from Christchurch, the 85 will take you right to Te Ara Ātea. View timetable and map.
  • Yellow Line: This service travels all the way from New Brighton through the city and Templeton to Rolleston. It leaves every 30 minutes weekdays and weekends. View timetable and map.
  • 820 Burnham–Lincoln via Rolleston: This bus connects Burnham, Springston and Lincoln to Rolleston. It goes every hour week days and weekends. View timetable and map.
