Join the Library
Library membership is free for all residents and ratepayers in the Selwyn District. Apply for your library card online and start using eResources immediately, then come into any of our branches to pick up your library card.

Charges & Loan Periods
Nearly all library items are free to borrow and we don't charge for late returns. However, there are fees for some things, such as lost items, printing and photocopying, library interloans, and meeting room hire.

Help with your PIN
You need to have both your library card and PIN number to access your account online and our digital library services. If you've forgotten your PIN number, you can reset it here.

Computers & Internet
All our libraries have computers, scanners and printers available for you to use for free. You can use our free, secure WiFi 24/7 with your own device.

Skinny Jump is for those who don't have a broadband connection at home because cost is a barrier. Selwyn Libraries has teamed up with Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa to offer Skinny Jump. Find out more about whether you could be eligible and how to register.
