Darfield Library and Service Centre has multiple rooms available for hire; perfect for meetings, community activities and presentations. The venue includes complimentary WiFi, a fully equipped kitchenette, ample car parking and wheelchair access. All users are responsible for clean-up of the facilities.

Te Ara Ātea

Te Ara Ātea has a variety of hireable spaces of various sizes, from small meeting rooms to a larger functions space. The venue includes complimentary WiFi, kitchenettes, ample car parking and wheelchair access.

Huanui and Tahatū

These two small study or meeting rooms are situated on the ground floor alongside the community lounge and café, and can be booked directly through Selwyn Libraries for up to 3 hours at a time.

Please note that due to high community demand, we are unable to accept regular (ie. recurring) bookings for these rooms.

Toi Huarewa

Located at the southern end of Te Ara Ātea, on Level 1, Toi Huarewa is a medium-sized meeting room, perfect for community group gatherings, meetings, and small presentations.

Te Whare Tapere

Located on the southwest corner of the ground floor, this is a very adaptable space, suitable for large meetings, presentations, and performances.
